I am a 31 year old female who can feel a lump vein in armpit but only papable when laying down and the muscle wall pronounces it close to center of armpit. I have been to 7 different doctors all from its nothing to its possible it could be a lymph node but not sure to its a vein. I am told cyst/mass do not disappear when you sit upon examination. Most feel its a vein and not to worry yet I am in extreme pain. It was only one doctor who thought it was a cyst/node but was not to sure. I am scared and I feel anxious and almost nirotic for I do not want to be missed diagnosed and I even went to a women's health doctor who specializes in women's issues and she felt the area and my other armpit and said not to worry for she was not and to forget about it. I asked my family doctor to see the breast surgeon and he said that he felt I was a little nirotic for no reason and its probably just a vein. I just am going through a separation and possible divorce as well as this vein/lump thing I need to make sure. Could you please advise me if you think I could be missed diagnosed and if my wanting to see the specialist is crazy. I do not see him for 20 days and I have just felt very anxious to the point of anxiety because this has gone on for so long. I know that you can not make and diagnosis over the net but any Ideas of what it could be.
