Cysts or follicles during OCP use.....? I am on Alesse and I had a vaginal ultrasound and the NP said that she could see "normal" follicles on my ovaries. I asked if this was normal during OCP use as I assumed the pill is suppose to keep the follicles from forming. She didn't know. I could feel a sensation in my ovaries exactly like how it feels when I ovulate (when NOT taking the pill). That is why I ended up in the docs office having a US. Does this mean I should switch to a pill that has a slightly higher dose like Nordette or LoOvral?
