Mouth, Genital, Anal UlcersFrom: Natasha (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 30 Apr 2001 12:11:19 -0500 (CDT)
Thx to Dr. Shanahan who answered an earlier version of my question, regarding apthous ulcers in my mouth in Jan '01 following small cuts to the inner lip/tongue, followed by same ulcers on genitals, all after experiencing period of extremely high-stress, poor diet, lack of sleep. Dr. S. said this sometimes happens to women w/o enough fruit/veg in the diet. My second attack in the mouth occurred this month, again following small cuts, and is accompanied by ulcers on and around the anus, very painful, but no genital involvement. Had the 'pinprick' test for Behcet's but no reaction. 3 MD's have said it doesn't look anything like herpes. 27 yrs old, previous excellent health, no chronic conditions, healthy family, no other symptoms, no known allergies. Could a lack of fruit/veg cause anal ulcers as well as genital?
