I have also been told that I should not have it removed because they bleed like crazy and return, etc. My question is- can these cysts cause prolonged bleeding? I have had bright red bleeding for 18 days. My obgyn (first time seeing this one)really did nothing except examine me. My gp is calling for some bloodwork (HCG, and to check for anemia) and a pelvic & transvaginal sonogram. My hormones have felt way out of whack for at least one year. Can anyone out there relate?
