8 year old DaughterFrom: Bev (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 28 Apr 2001 04:51:11 -0500 (CDT)
My Daughter was born with multi-cystic kidney, duplex systems and reflux. Part of kidney removed and reflux etc repaired successfully at one year of age. Since October she started with stinging wee, nausea, lower abdominal tenderness and pains. It gradually got worse. Leucocytes and pus cells sometimes found in urine. Colonoscopy showed erythema descending colon but biopsies normal. Blood tests normal. Ultrasounds of kidneys and bladder appear normal. Barium Swallow showed acid reflux. X-rays normal. Nausea most of the day. Vaginal discharge. She is on cimetidene it helps a bit. At night she can't sleep because she feels so sick and her tummy hurts. She gets heartburn as well. She currently has another UTI on top of everything else. Paediatricians are at a loss. We are waiting to be seen by Gastric Expert but despite nagging could wait months. All the time she is suffering and no-one is doing anything. Is it possible for an eight year old girl to suffer from endometriosis? This is the only condition I have researched which seems to link everything. Please help. Could the red colon be because of something outside of the colon?
