pain on one side of vaginal openingFrom: carmen (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 27 Apr 2001 14:42:36 -0500 (CDT)
I've been having mild pain on and off for about 8 months on one side of the lower/posterior side of my vaginal opening. It's kind of a burning/aching feeling that comes and goes. I've visited 3 doctors throughout this time, and they all think it's an irritation from clothing or from a chemical in soap, etc. I've been screened for all STD's that they could test for (bacterial), and all have been negative. Could this be a Bartholin's gland infection, lasting this long? I don't feel any noticeable enlargement, but from research I've done on the internet, it seems like this pain in the 4'o clock to 8 o'clock area could be from that. Thanks for your advice!
