I just went to my ob/gyn on 4/9 of this year.I have had severe lower abdominal pain on my right side that radiates across my back and down my right leg. Upon examination my doc said my right ovary was enlarged,didnt say how big,so she left it at that and sent me for a vaginal ultrasound a week later.Also she never did a rectum exam which I thought was unusual.After the ultrasound she came back for the 2 whole minutes I was in there and told me that she saw no malignancies and that she didnt know what was wrong with my right ovary but I had a cysts on my left one.She had also done blood work and all was normal.I was told to come back in 2 months and that was it.She walked out the door. I am really confused.I am glad she said she saw nothing serious but what could be causing my ovary to be enlarged?....I have lost 13 pounds in a short period of time....I have not been on a diet....I have pain during intercourse....bloated...alot of gas....and have very heavy periods with clots....I dont know if I should get a second opinion or if I should just wait this out....The pain has gotten so bad that it wakes me up at night. If you could please help me I would be very greatful.Oh yes...by the way ...I am 38 years old and had a tubiligation 13 years ago.
