THIS MESSAGE IS FOR DR THOMAS IND PLEASE If you don't mind, can you kindly answer this question for me please ? I am 34yrs old and currently 7w4d pregnant after IVF treatment. The obstetrician has advised me to have a B -hcg AND PAPP-A blood test to be done at 12 weeks gestation ( in addition to the routine nuchal scan). Could you please tell me what this PAPP-A stands for and the possible rationale behind this test.
