I just had a baby 5 weeks ago and I had the Depo shot while I was still in the hospital. Ever since I came home I have been extrememly iritable and depressed. On top of all this I have been dieting and excercising for the past month and have actually managed to gain a pound. I do an aerobic work out 3 to 5 times per week and am on weight watchers. My previous experiences with weight loss have been up lifting and encouraging ones because the weight seemed to come off rather quickly, so I am positive that the problem is NOT my dieting technique. I would like to know how long it will take for this drug to leave my body and restore my weight loss potential, as well as my sanity and mental well being. And if there is anything I can take in the mean time as far as anti depressants or weight loss drugs until the depo shot wears off. I am desperate. Scincerely, Alexis B.
