I have irregular cycles lasting from 28 day to 44 days. My doctor put me on clomid, the usual 50mg on days 3-7. After my third try with clomid, I got my period on Day 20 and it was a very harsh period. Anyway, I went into the doctor and She prescribed clomid at 25mg from days 2-9. I went in for an ultrsound at day 12. My left ovary measured 20 mm. She gave me a shot of something, I think HSG. Anyway, we had sex on day 12, 13 and 14. My questions are: 1. Does lowering the Clomid dosage make sense? 2. Is 20mm a sign that I was going to ovulate? 3. I did not have a positive OPK prior to my ultrasound, why? 4. She wants me to come in for a Progesterone check on day 19. What will this test tell her. 5. When and how is the earliest I can test for pregnancy? 6. When would implantation take place if this was a successful cycle? 7. Shouldn't my doctor have given me hormone testing around day 21? I know I have a lot of questions but I never seem to have the time or remember to ask. A lot of times I just get the Nurse Practioner which is great but... Thank you so much for your time.
