Aldomet

My doctor just recently put me on medication for my blood pressure called Aldomet. I am currently 3-4 weeks pregnant. He says the risks are low on this medication. I am taking 500 mg twice a day for high blood pressure.

Does anyone know if there are any studies showing if this will hurt anything? And have other doctors given this medication with confidence? Guess I am looking for reassurance that it is okay to take it.
