What if?From: Connie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 15 Apr 2001 16:55:27 -0500 (CDT)
Hi All: I have been in a lot of pain all weekend. My urine flow seems to be better, not as slow and trickling as it has been, but the pain is worse. I should have the results of my clean catch urine and c & s on Monday..if it is negative, should I assume that my bladder repair has come down totally not just the left side (as I found out had happened last week)? My next problem is this..my doc did a peyrera bladder suspension and I have been reading about a vesica suspension which uses a sling to support the bladder in addition to the sutures. Should I ask my physician if he does this procedure or if he could recommend anyone who does? Is it better than the peyrera suspension? I know that I can't do anything about the failed repair for at least 6 months..but I want to have a qualified surgeon do it..not that I don't trust mine. My sister still maintains that I should've gone to a urologist not a gynecologist...I don't argue with her about it anymore. I trust my surgeon and I believe he did the best he could but for some reason my suspension didn't hold. The vaginal vault seems to be holding ok. I really don't want to have to see my gyne tomorrow if I can help it as I don't feel like enduring yet another exam.....Thanks in advance.
