Brown discharge at start of period

I have been off Orthotricycline for 4 months.I was on it for 7 months. My first cycle off was 36 days. Then they have been coming around 25-28 days. The last 2 months I have had dark brown discharge starting a few days earlier than I expect my period. After about 3 days I start a regular period.

I am 28 yrs old. I have been on Levlen 28 in the past twice. I conceived my first daughter while on Levlen after taking large doses of ABT for a UTI. I was on Levlen again after her birth.

I stopped after having what the MDs felt was a TIA. 3 months later after normal periods, I conceived again. At 5 weeks I miscarried. 3 weeks later, I was pregnant again with my second daughter.

In a nutshell, I have never had problems conceiving. I had an ovarian tumor removed at age 15 yrs which was benign. I just had a complete exam 3 months ago with a negative PAP.

I am trying to conceive at this point and wonder whether there is any connection between my seeming inability to conceive and this brown discharge.

Sorry the post is so long, but I wanted to include as much infor as I could for the medical pros!! :-)

For what its worth, I also have a new partner who has not had children. So his fertility may be an issue as well.

Thanks for any help you may offer.
