2 miscarriagesFrom: anonymous@obgyn.netTue, 10 Apr 2001 12:51:38 EDT
Hi, I have 3 healthy children, 13, 10, and 6. I have suffered through 2 consecutive miscarriages one last march at 6 weeks and one last week at 13 weeks. I had a D&C with the second. My doctor doesn't feel that genetic testing is necessary since we have 3 children and had uneventful healthy pregnancies. (3 c-sections) My hormone level dropped from 9 to 6.4 during my 6th week of this last pregnancy and the Dr. started me on 100mg progesterone suppositories 2x a day...never testing my levels again. At my 13 week visit there was no fetal heartbeat. I am 39 years old and very eager to find out why this has happened and how to naturally regulate my hormone level. Do you know of any diet that may help me? I will be seeing a fertility specialist in a month. My doctor feels this is unnecessary since miscarriage is not uncommon. May I ask your opinion? Thanks to whoever answers!
