You do have hope, you know you can get pregnant. I read the doctors reply to you and I agree although it seems really trite to say it. When I failed to get pregnant, I then wanted to find out if I was ovulating - I used First Response (from Boots) - like a pregnancy test but you do it to see if you are ovulating. That might help you feel a bit more in control. ( I do remember finding out that my cousin was pregnant with her second child and not being able to stop crying). When I knew I was ovulating, I resorted to the "every night" technique which worked! You've probably done all the things I've done, but keep trying. Also, do some research into the basal temperature technique for ovulation - I know that has worked for friends when nothing else has. here in Australia (I'm from the UK), they usually look into infertility after a year but I know it can be a lot longer in the UK so push it with your doc or consultant if you have to.
