Progesterones are sex steroids. When people refer to "natural progesterone cream," I'm never entirely sure what they're talking about. There's a wild mexican yam-derived cream that, in order to work, must have the yam extract chemically changed to allow absorption. I'm not sure if that's what you'd call "natural." In addition, because its US manufacture is unregulated, it's hard to know the contents of such a cream. I would be hesitant to use or recommend unregulated supplements during pregnancy.

There is a prescription plant-based medication available here in the US that some fertility specialists use for progesterone supplementation, but the FDA labeling urges against such use. Have you discussed options for progesterone supplementation with your health care provider? Have I answered your question? Please write again if you need further information.
