I have had post-coital bleeding (bright red blood, a moderate amount) on and off over the last several years. I've also had recurrent BV infection. Two different doctors have both *very* nonchalantly dismissed the bleeding as a result of the BV. My last pap (several years ago) came back normal. The current doctor doesn't want to do a pap till I finish the prescribed course of metrogel. Meanwhile, I've never seen bleeding listed as a symptom of BV. I don't feel particularly irritated and don't have pain with intercourse. Isn't it a little weird that they are not more alarmed by this? I make it very clear each time that I am worried about the bleeding after intercourse.
