I hope that it is from a culture and not just a visual diagnosis or that made by looking at the discharge under a microscope. Second, if it is truly BV proven by culture, I would want to make sure that the bacteria is sensitive to Flagyl rather than resistant. Fourth, unless BV is symptomatic to the patient, there is no indication to treat it. It has been shown that aysmptomatic BV is not a risk for preterm labor... Lynn
