Hi,

No, add back therapy has been proven to _not_ prevent long term damage to the bones, vision, heart, etc. For some women its lessened the daily hot flashes and such, but provides little to no help with the serious damages that result as early as one month into "therapy"

Bravo to you for taking a stand in your healthcare. Too many women are acting like "blind sheep" in doing what the doctor says, always....Lupron is a downright dangerous drug and information about the dangers were out as early as 1988, would you believe! Theres lots of information on this website that you can print out and give your doctor to read: http://www.lupronvictims.com

There is no cure to endo yet, and Lupron certainly isn't one - it can WORSEN endometriosis actually, when treatment is stopped...it did with me and many other women. Laparoscopy for endo removal, and pain clinic/physical therapy can help ease the pain. Many clinics offer massage, biofeedback, acupuncture, ultrasound therapy, heat/cold, exercise, diet, and TENS unit therapies - they help reduce pain in many women. If you dont know of any near you, let me know and I'll locate one for you.

Also remember too - its your body, and you are a consumer first. If you feel at any point your doctor is pushing you to do something you don't want to do, or is reluctant to provide you with proper care because you don't agree with something he recommends - switch doctors. There are lots of good doctors out there who appreciate patients who are involved in their healthcare.

Take care and good luck!

Kas
