Hi Malinda,

Going cold turkey is very, very difficult. I went off Paxil last year and I had to wean myself off very slowly. It took me about 1 1/2 months. Even after being off the medication, I still had problems with dizziness, irritability, the eye drag thing (where it feels like your eyes don't keep up with your head) and other things. I probably didn't get rid of the symptoms for about a total of 3 months. Zoloft leaves the system differently than Paxil, but the withdrawl symptoms from what I understand are very similar. It just might take a longer or shorter time- everyone is different.

I took some benadryl to help with my symptoms. I bought the children's liquid so I could take a small dose. The 25mg dose makes me sleepy. It is important to check with your doctor to see what they recommend.

Good luck- the symptoms will pass eventually.
