I'm 26 years old and after many painful years, I've finally found a doctor that diagnosed me with endometriosis. It was a relief to have something diagnosed. I was told to go on Lupron or have surgery, however after reviewing some of the posting on this site about lupron and the side effects, I did not think it was for me. So I had a laprosopy done. The doctor couldn't take care of the severity of my endometriosis. Aparently my bowel had adhered to my abdonimal wall, my uters and kidney had some damage as well as my ovaries. So lupron has been suggested again. I was told to have children immediately, if I want them. My surgery was almost 2 weeks ago and I'm still in pain especially when I try to go to the bathroom. I wanted to know if there was anything else I could do. My doctor is putting me back on birth control, I also take vicaden es for the pain. He wasn't pleased with my decision not to take Lupron. Some one said there is something one can take to curb the side effects. Does it work? I'm just completely scared, confused, and stressed out by my whole situation.
