Kelly Shanahan, MD, : "Re: 19-day cycles, perimenopausal" I am 46 and have a few traits of perimenopause such as occassional night sweats and I have had a few irregular cycle lengths over the past 5 or 6 years. However, for the last few months I have had 19-day cycles. I remember hearing many years ago that cycles under 21 days were considered abnormal. My yearly exam is scheduled for August. Should I see my gyn earlier because of the short cycles?
