-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi, I've never been here before, but would appreciate any imput. I have -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- suffered for years with horrendous backaches, especially after my -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- periods. Now my urination is being hindered the same days as my back aches- for several days after my period . The urination problem has developed over the last couple years. My urine flow those days is just a trickle. The week of my period though, my urine comes out with the velocity of a fire hose!!!! I have no pain in my abdomen, during intercourse, during menstruation, and I do not have heavy periods or unexplained bleeding. I had a tubal ligation done a year ago, and the Dr checked me for Endo . He said he saw nothing on my tubes or ovaries that looked like Endometriosis. I KNOW I have endometriosis and it's getting worse. Lucky for me, Ibuprofen miraculously takes away all my pain, but does not help my urination at all. Where on earth would the Endometriosis be that when it engorges, it is hindering my urine flow? And what test could I request that would show Endo in my urological system? And please take my word for the following....I do NOT have any kidney or bladder infections, nor cystitis, nor kidney stones. This is COMPLETELY linked to my menstrual cycle and my hormones. Every month it is the same. After my tubal ligation, I went through 3 months of menopause symptoms and had anovulatory cycles. Those 3 months I had no backaches at all. I'd appreciate any advice you can give me before I go back to the Dr's for my yearly exam. I need to know what tests to request!! Thanks alot, Lori
