Erika, You have to strike a balance in these situations. In other words, how important is the information needed from the endoscopy. If it is crucial for other health issue, then the endoscopy should be done. There isn't really any danger with the procedure or the meds used for sedation. On the other hand, if the procedure is somewhat elective, it could be posponed. Depends upon the balance... Lynn
