I have had spotting for 5-7 days after my period, clear over ovulation and spotting again 2-6 days after ov until period. My period has gone from av of 4 days medium flow to 1 day v light flow over the past year. My blood tests were normal, my prog levels were 70 on 21 dpo. This has been happening for a year in April. I'm on a long UK waiting list for a laparoscopy. The thought of an op really scares me. Should I be v. worried about my symptoms? I have no pains associated with the brown spotting. Should I be pushing for more less invasive tests before a lap, such as ultra sound? We have also been trying to conceive for 8 months. My doc said its ok to keep trying despite spotting, is this wise in your opinion? This month I have had 11 dpo without spotting (still counting) which is a vast improvement. I've been having private homeopathic treatment. Over the past 4 years I have had one or two other episodes of monthly spotting, not lasting for more than 6 months each time.
