Estrogen and Bloot Clots

I recently had a complete hysterectomy and am now suffering from hot flashes and sleeplessness because I'm not on HRT. I have a rare blood condition that makes me prone to blood clots and have already suffered from one sever blood clot. A couple years ago Ronald Barentsen recommended transdermal oestrogen for people with tendency towards blood clots. My question is will transdermal estrogen estrogen also protect me from osteoporosis, heart disease and alheimers? Also, are all transdermal products equally effective and are you familiar with "Pro-gest" by Emerita?

Thank you.
