Fallopian tubal problemsFrom: Amber (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 28 Feb 2001 19:10:24 -0600 (CST)
I am 22 years old. I have been having severe problems with pelvic pain for over a year and a half. I have seen my throughout this whole time. I finally had a laproscopy this month. They found that I had scar tissue around my left ovary. My left tube was partially hardened and partially blocked at the top, and fully blocked at the bottom. My right tube was rigid and torturous, and blocked from top to bottom, with the fingers at the top curled in. There was no scar tissue in my uterus. They told me it was definitely Endometiosis. I am not sure, though, because I have done research, and I am seemingly young to have this severe of a case, and all blockages that were described were only blockages close to the uterus end. Are there other things that could be causing this in someone of my age? It was recommended that I go on Lupron next month to put me in a Menopausal state for 6 months. Is this the best and only route I can go? What should be done after the 6 month period? I am confused and shocked by the results of the surgery, I just need advice on what my options are, and what I should ask my doctor about. I am worried that this is growing so fast that invitro will not be a possibility down the line. I would greatly appreciate any input or advice, are there other people my age who have had this problem, what did you do?
