Hi,

Laparoscopic surgery is called the "band-aid" surgery because its minimally invasive and recovery generally short. You could feel pain in the shoulders from the air put in your abdomen (it travels along a nerve from your abdomen) from 2-5 days after the operation, and generally weakness from the anesthesia for a week or so. You may have minimal pain from the incision site. Generally you should be feeling pretty well a week after surgery, but sometimes it takes a little longer depending on what was done. Ask your doctor for guidelines on driving, working, eating, exercise, lifting, sex, and any other activities you do often, such as bike or horseback riding.

Take care

Kas
