Large Fibroid

Hi I had an ultrasound 2 days ago as I was having pelvic pain and the results show that my uterus is bulky and anteverted. They also found a large fundal fibroid 5cm diameter and that the fibroid is echopoor. Both ovaries had normal appearance.

I had an ultrasound 3 years ago and the fibroid at the time was 2.5cm in diameter.

I am 30 years old and have no children yet - we planned to start a family within the next year. Do you think this will cause problems for me to conceive or keep a baby? And is the fibroid considered large?

Rgds Anastasia
