Any female who has recurrent urinary tract infections need to have an IVP. An IVP is a very non-invasive test that evaluates the anatomy of the genitourinary tract from the level of the kidneys to the urethra. This can show if there is any abnormality of the tract that might be conrtributing to the recurrent infections. The radiation associated with this test is minimal-we even perform this test in pregnant women when required... Lynn
