absence of endocervical cells

I have just been to my OBGYN for my yearly check up and she found a bump on my one of my ovaries. She scheduled me to come back in 4 weeks to take another look. Then I just recieved a phone call from her saying they got back my paps smear and it came back normal but there was no sign of endocervical cells. I should come back in 6 months but she will talk to me when I come back in 2 weeks?

What do endocervical cells do? Do I need them?

Cancer runs in my family, would any of this relate? My mom has had breast cancer twice and both my grandfather, and uncle have died from cancer.

What should I expect when I go back to the doctors? Should I ask certain questions?

to tell you the truth I am a little worried because I don't know what endocervical cells even do?

Thank you for your time.
