Positive and negative margins mean NOTHING. A recent (2-3years ago) study looked at all women who had CIS on a cold knife cone aand then had a hysterectomy 3 months later. As many patients with negative margins had persistent CIS at the time of the hyst as did those with positive margins. The reverse was also true. As many with negative had persistence as wioth positive margins.

IOW margins didn't matter. This is the first time it was studied. In the past someone said "Well if the margins are positive you didn't get it all so it will persiist." That obvious intuition hasn't held true after study.
