menopause over, why estrogen now?From: Lynn (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 22 Feb 2001 10:26:00 -0500
My Ob-Gyn was unsuccessful in prescribing HRT for me when I was pre-menopausal, so now that I have completed menopause, she is telling me I have thinning of the vaginal wall and wants me to use premarin cream vaginally. I have no irritation, no problems at all and I was not told of any risks or why it is valuable to someone who is in her mid-fifties and widowed. Also, I am on medication for high blood pressure and beginning cholesterol problems (all mild dosages). What insight can you give me? SallyAnn
