This usually lasts for 5 to 10 days. I've been taking Anaprox 550 mg. for this condition. In the last few months, I have had to take this medication some days every couple of hours. I know this is tearing my stomach up, but I can't stand the pain. This pain is causing me to miss work because I can't sleep and I'm so exhausted I can't function. I just visited my OB-GYN and she said this is normal. I just can't believe this is normal. I have never known anyone that has been through what I'm going through. I'm seriously considering asking to have my ovaries removed. I don't want to lose my job over this pain. Can you tell me what is in store for me if I chose this path and do you have any suggestions for any other way to stop the pain? Please advise. First you need a diagnosis. Ovulatory pain does not cause the sypmtoms you describe. There is something else going on. I would suggest you get another opinion so that the source of the pain can be identified. Then, depending upon the source, it can be addressed to allow you to be free of this discomfort... Lynn
