Tired of Debilitaing Ovarian Pain

I'm 41 years old and have had ovulation pain for 2 years. I can't walk, sit, or lay down comfortably, and the pain keeps me up all night. This usually lasts for 5 to 10 days. I've been taking Anaprox 550 mg. for this condition. In the last few months, I have had to take this medication some days every couple of hours. I know this is tearing my stomach up, but I can't stand the pain. This pain is causing me to miss work because I can't sleep and I'm so exhausted I can't function. I just visited my OB-GYN and she said this is normal. I just can't believe this is normal. I have never known anyone that has been through what I'm going through. I'm seriously considering asking to have my ovaries removed. I don't want to lose my job over this pain. Can you tell me what is in store for me if I chose this path and do you have any suggestions for any other way to stop the pain? Please advise.
