My doctor prescribed Macrobid for what she thought might be a UTI. I took the antibiotic for 7 days, ending on Feb. 6th. By the following evening, Feb. 7th, I noticed a slight ringing in my ears, which faded. Then again two days later, the noise in my ear came back -- it was like a whistling sound pulsating with my heartbeat. I still have it now. I am pregnant and unable to sleep because of this noise. WOuld the Macrobid have caused the noise in my ear, or could it be my pregnancy? Would such a condition as this persist if it were the Macrobid?
