I just had a D&C 2 weeks ago to remove an 8.5 week old fetus. I had virtually no bleeding the first 2 days, followed by large clots (6-8 inches long) for a day or two, followed by more bleeding (average amounts) for about 6 days. I stopped bleeding at about 10 days post-D&C. At 14 days post-D&C, I had cramps that felt like a period starting. Sure enough, I started bleeding that night. I've continued to bleed (average amounts) for the past 3 days. My doctor says I am probably getting a period! This seems impossible just 2 weeks post D&C. Has anyone else experinced this? Is it healthy? Should I be worried about something else? I am also passing very small (dime-size) clots occasionally with this "period." Otherwise, I feel fine. No fever, unusual odor, etc. Thank you for your response! Debbie
