Hello I hope everyone is doing o:k this evening.I have a very complicated history and will try to make it as brief as possible.I started having pain in the LLQ around the area of the ovary about 5-6 years ago , mainly around ovulation. , It became so bad that I could barely walk. I also had heavy bleeding with my periods and expelled very large clots some I would say were bigger than golf balls. I had a D&C 2/98 but this failed to resolve either of the problems so I had a hysterectomy and LSO 4/98 . The left ovary was adhered to the bowel and abdominal wall and that was thought to be the cause of all the pain. Unfortunatly I developed a hematoma that had to be surgically drained 10 days later. THe pain returned about 6-8 weeks after having the surgery .I had another laporoscopy 4/98 and it was found that I had severe adhesions throughout the pelvic and abdominal area, all the adhesions were lysed and again I was feeling pretty good for abou 6 weeks and the same old pain returned I had another Laporoscopy 11/99, This time my Dr. was going to do a RSO and look for endo, He did find endo on the lower bowel and on the cul de sac but did not remove it. He ws going to withhold HRT for 3 months to allow the endo to die off.Well I have tried continuos BC, Lupron And am now on an Aromatase Inhibitor Treatment. When my hormone levels were checked a couple weeks ago they were FSH-8.5 Estradiol-140. I have so much pain both on the left and right side where the ovaries were and down into the vagina. When I first started this treatment and the levels started going down I saw a decrease in the pain, But with the levels going up my pain has increased quite a bit.My Dr. has doubled my dosage of the Arimidex(aromatase inhibitor) and he said if this doesn't help he doesn't know what else to do for me. I asked him if it would be senseless to do a CT Scan or Ultrsound and he said no. I have a CT Scan scheduled for Thursday. My question is, If I have an ovarian remnant would it possibly show up on the CT Scan? He is also having them look at lymphnodes, What would this be for? I am totally frustrated and discouraged .I also have a slight rectocele that at first my Dr. said was caused by not enough estrogen and when that is resolved the rectocele should get better. I have enough Estrogen and I have for a while so what do I do about that?I am taking 2,7.5/500 lortab 3-4 times a day for the pain which doesn't help with the bowel movements. My Dr. Mentioned sending me to either the Mayo Clinic Or a Clinic in Mass. for possible research??? Any Suggestions from the Drs. on here would be appreciated. Thank you,Sorry this was so long :0) Peggy
