Most commonly, no treatment is given for molluscum contagiosum in children, as the problem will resolve on its own and the treatment is often worse than the problem. It will take time, and you may expect to continue to see new outbreaks for a while. As mentioned earlier, a visit to a dermatologist may give you additional information on all treatment (or non-treatment) options.
