7 weeks pregnant, bleeding for two weeks!

Can anyone out there offer some welcomed advice. I am currently 7 weeks pregnant and have been bleeding for the last 2 weeks of the pregnancy. I have had two ultrasounds and both have shown a fetal heartbeat. These scans have given me the confidence that the pregancy is progressing but the bleeding has ranged from fairly light to very heavy. The blood tends to be more red-brown and I have even passed some tiny clots(I had one occasion when it was a heavy bleed and the blood was fresh, lots of it) The hospital has warned of a possible miscarriage (This would be my 3rd). The thought of this is made all the more difficult as I have seen the heart beating of my child. I would like to know what the possible causes could be for the bleeding as the ultrasounds and pg seem normal! Has anyone suffered these symptoms, have found the cause and remedied the bleeding? I also have slight cramps but paracetamol seems to help with this. Any advice from anyone who has suffered or may be familiar with these symptoms would be welcomed. regards, Michelle.
