This was almost certainly a decidual cast, which is a cast of the lining of the uterus (endometrium) that develops from progesterone use. Women using depo-provera, Norplant, or even birth control pills can pass these surprising but harmless pieces of tissue. The other possibility is a very unusual clot, or a miscarriage. I'll put $10 that it's a decidual cast. Have a nice day.

<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< I would like to know what "depo-provera" means. (The "depo" part is what I am not familar with.) And I would like to know if passing these "decidual cast" is a good thing, I am guessing the are breaking off from built up endometrium which sounds like a good thing to me. thanks :)
