if you are not as far along as you think, all there is to see will be a sac at first. If you really are 7 weeks, then a fetus and heartbeat should be seen. Blood tests to measure HCG can help determine if a fetal pole and heartbeat would be expected to be seen, or if you are earlier than originally thought.
