Sperm Viability and Hot TubsFrom: Amber (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 2 Feb 2001 19:42:43 -0600 (CST)
First Question My husband has been diagnosed with Sertolli Cell Only Syndrome and does not produce spermies. We had an ici (inter cervical insemination) at home 2 days ago with donor spermies. We are now wondering if it would be counterproductive if we had sexual intercourse. We are concerned that he makes something that would kill off the donor spermies and/or the (hopefully) fertilized product. How long should we abstain from sexual intercourse ... if at all? Second Question OK, I am 2 days past ovulation and hoping to get pregnant. Should I stay away from the hot tub? Should pregnant women avoid the hot tub? Thanks in advance for your time!
