Kelly Shanahan, MD: "Re: calcified ovarian cyst" I just had a doctors appointment this week and was told I have polycystic ovary syndrom. I had been told it was a possibility so had read up on it. They then told me they want to keep an eye on one that seems to be a calcified cyst (or calcified ovary?). I am wondering if anyone has any clue as to what this is and why the interest of keeping an eye on it. I have had two ultrasounds two months apart and they have seen this both times.
