Going forth from that, you may want to try a 7 day yeast cream on the area. This was a trick I used for athletes, that I picked up from a corpsman. Apply the cream twice a day and continue application for three days after the area disappears to prevent reoccurance. This resolved a similar problem (in a male - red area, sensitive to pH and urea) that a medical school had been treating for six months without success [Started with family doctor and refered,..., before seeing teaching facility].
