Question regarding prolapse??From: Connie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 31 Jan 2001 20:00:08 -0600 (CST)
Hi All! I am scheduled to have a vaginal vault suspension on February 20th for paravaginal prolapse. I am very nervous about the procedure, but since 2 doctors have told me that this may relieve the constant pelvic pain I experience, I have decided it is the right thing to do and am hoping that this is the right decision and that my pain is gone once and for all. Now, on to my question, In addition to having the left sided pelvic pain (where the prolapse is worse) I have been experiencing right sided pelvic pain (something I have not had since my right ovary was taken out in 1996). Anyway, the pain is also going into my back. Since I have always had the pelvic pain the back pain never seemed as intense, but in the last few months ever since the exams, I have been having this back pain. Could the prolapse be causing back pain also?? I might add, I don't have back pain until when I do have a reprieve from the pelvic pain (which isn't very often). Did this comment make any sense?? A reply would be appreciated, thank you for your time!
