I agree with the Dr., it is very nice that you are invovled. My daughter too has the same problem only they are even closer like every 2 weeks, and then she has it for 2 weeks straight sometimes. From what I've been able to find out it's a hormone thing and no ovulation so the cycle is not regulated. I too was very worried but they gave me the same advice, so now I'm just waiting to see if it corrects itself. My daughter is a little older 14.... when she started a few months ago. Good luck.
