I am 24 years old. I have had two vaginal births, the last one being in May of 98. I had a tubal ligation afterwards. Here's the problem, It started about October 2000. I started bleeding. Which I assumed it was my period. But it was more like a thick brown mucus substance. It did that for two weeks. Then my "real" period started. It lasted about 8 days. Then I stopped for about 4 days and then it all started back. Two weeks of the brown mucus stuff mixed with a little red blood. Then 8 days of bleeding. And then maybe 3 days off. It has done that ever since. Now I have light moderate bleeding for almost 4 weeks on and then a couple of days off. My doctor has checked my hormone levels, thyroid, basically everything that you can check for through blood. It's all fine. So she is referring me to a gyno. I haven't had a pap smear since June 99. Sometimes it hurts to have sex. Not during penetration. But during thrusting. Sometimes it feels like he hits something inside me. My stomach is almost always tender. Most of the time I can't even lay my arms on my own stomach. And I have had very frequent urinary tract infections. At least one every two months. But I do what my doctor tells me. What could be wrong with me? Could it be cancer? About the same time that I started all this bleeding my left hip joint started hurting to where I cried all the time and couldn't even sleep. My doctor took x-rays but nothing. It has been 4 months now with all these problems. Could they be related? I'm afraid of something deadly. What could it be, especially the bleeding? Please respond soon. Thank you.
