With large fibroids, if the bleeding is due to fibroids, there's not
much you can do other than Lupron to put you in a chemical menopause.
There are pros and cons to this medication - please check the archives
for tons on info on both sides. As you get closer to menopause, the
chance of going into menopause, after a few months of Lupron, increases.
An endometrial biopsy should be done to evaluate the lining of the
uterus. If everything is fine, it's all due to the fibroids. If not,
hormone therapy (short term) may be indicated despite the smoking.
BTW, smoking is not good for you. :-)
