For years, as long as I can remember, with every period I had dull, constant ache down the front of my thighs and in my lower back. I thought that was normal. Then, in my 30's, discovered ibuprofen and the wonders it does with myriad period complaints. Just take it with food cause its a bear on the tummy. Also, I've found the it is specifically ibuprofen for me. Other nsaids, even though the dosing is more convenient just never cut it. There is light at the end of the tunnel though - with perimenonpause, I hardly ache at all - even when I do menstruate! You don't sound like a hypochondriac to me.
